Our Infant Program
Our infant program is a combination of parent/teacher communication/understanding. Working together, a plan for each babies’ personalized care becomes the basis on which to move forward in the classroom. The main focus in our infant room is making sure your babies needs are met through a customized feeding and care schedule. Care will be provided through interaction, physical bonding, tummy time, and stimulation. Through all this, your baby will begin the early stages of learning. They will begin to form a bonding and trusting relationships with their teachers. This secure feeling will allow your baby to feel confident in exploring both rooms and becoming familiar with the routine. Some of the activities that your babies will be involved with including sensory painting, fine and gross motor skills with blocks, rattles as well as soft toys and once your children move into the older infant room, they will be playing with climb on toys, push and pull toys, the ball pit, circle time mat and a reading corner filled with books. The older infants will be using the water tables where they will be able to fill and empty containers and have fun splashing! These activities allow the teachers to begin understanding the "type" of learning style that works best for your child. ( Visual, Spacial, Auditory, & Kinesthetic) or any combination !
Its such an exciting time for your baby and we are excited to move through this journey with you!

Leader Teacher- Ms. Dorothy
Hello,
My name is Ms. Dorothy.
I am the lead teacher in our Infant Room 1 classroom.
I have worked in the field of childcare for the past 7 years as an infant teacher. Previous to that, I was a teacher in middle/high school for 15 years. I love children and I love observing them as they explore their new world. My goal is to nurture and guide our youngest babies to their full potential! Your children will be learning many things while in the younger infant room. We will be engaging in sensory play, tummy time, and learning to sit up and grow their core muscle strength. By the time they leave Infant Room 1, they have mastered the skills of crawling, standing, walking and much more!
I live in Carmel/Mahopac area with my two children.
My greatest hobby when not working with children is visiting Disneyworld!
I look forward to meeting you and working together to create an amazing experience for your child and you at Little Feet!
